Contact your local media
One of the best ways to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension is to share your story with your local media. And during last year’s PH Week, lots of you appeared in newspapers, magazines, on websites and even on radio and TV – helping to tell the world about PH.
We’ve put together a press release to tell the media all about pulmonary hypertension and PH Awareness Week – why not send them this, along with an email or letter that shares your personal reasons for supporting the cause?
To give you a helping hand, we’ve also put together a template letter / email that you can send along with the press release.
If you have any problems downloading or opening these documents, please contact Mary at Capital B Media on 01226 766900 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Make sure you contact the media early – don’t wait until the start of the awareness week! This will allow journalists to plan ahead and will give the best chance of coverage.
You will be able to find contact details for your local media online. A journalist may want to talk to you to find out more, so don’t forget to include your phone number and / or email address when you contact them.
