Well, what can I say? Another Family Weekend over already… I agree with all of our members who completed the feedback forms… we just wanted the weekend to last a bit longer. Thank you to all of our families who made the weekend so special and a huge thank you to our helpers, Janis Box and Kerry Dean, and to our Trustees – especially Iain, who looked the part as Bananaman and hosted the Saturday evening, including the special prize draw and fancy dress parade.
Thanks, too, to the families who helped on the stalls; Andrea Curtis who helped sell the second-hand books, but who had also made gorgeous craft gifts which she sold on behalf of the PHA UK; the Kent family; Rob and Jodie Wood; Vee and Malcolm Willis; Fran Georgel; Chantel Torpy; Neil Gawthorpe and the charming Peter Stevens. We also greatly appreciate the donation of £300 worth of gift vouchers courtesy of Brian Boughton from the SSP Consult. The children greatly appreciated the prizes they won.
We’ve already started planning next year’s Family Weekend, so look out in the diary section of the magazine for the provisional dates!!
I hope you enjoy some of our wonderful families’ accounts of the day.

“Probably the best yet – something for everyone, appealing across all age groups! And you even fixed the weather! Well done and very many thanks to all the PHA UK staff..”
“This was my favourite weekend so far; it’s great that we can all be together. Center Parcs was fun but we didn’t have the same opportunities to chat to people.”
” Very well organised, with lots to do. Had a fab time with the family, thank you very much… Not sure you could do any more to improve this weekend”
