Write to your GP

Our own research* shows that 40% of people with PH saw four or more doctors before being diagnosed, and 63% waited more than three months for a hospital referral after first seeing their GP.

Writing to your GP surgery during our awareness week can help them understand more about pulmonary hypertension, so the disease is detected faster.

Our downloadable pack makes it really easy to contact them:

Step 1: Download our template letter and edit it to tell them why this means so much to you

Step 2: Download our information sheet, which sets out the signs and symptoms of PH

Step 3: Download our poster, which can be displayed in the surgery to raise awareness amongst visitors too

Print all three items, put everything in an envelope, and address to the practice manager.

No printer? Please contact us at and we will happily post you these items so you can pass them on to your practice.
