PH nurses set to pound the pavements for patients

Posted on March 25th 2024

A trio of nurses from the Sheffield Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit will pound the pavements for patients during the Sheffield Half Marathon next month.

John Harrington, Charlotte Peirson, and Sammy Abraham are using the challenge to raise money for our charity in support of all those they care for with pulmonary hypertension.

John , ward manager at the unit based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, said: “People with PH deal with so much and my colleagues and I are inspired by their resilience every single day. Two hours of discomfort during this race is nothing compared to the challenges they live with, so raising money for the charity which provides so much support feels like the least we can do.”
