Spring brings forth fresh life anew
Birds on trees come pushing through
Birds in nests all sing together
As springtime brings the warmer weather
Little creatures scurry around
On rich new soil they make no sound
And daffodils their heads unfolding
Swaying gently bright and golden
In the fields new lambs bleat
Trying to stand on unsteady feet
Mothers graze and feed their young
In the springtime’s warming sun
In parks and playgrounds children play
Chatting and laughing throughout the day
Springtime brings much pleasure too
Not just to them but to me and you
