What is the usual outcome after notifying the DVLA?

The vast majority of people are able to keep their driving licence.

If you drive a car or a motorcycle, and you keep your licence, this will be reviewed every three years. If you are in what is deemed a ‘high risk’ group, it will be reviewed every 12 months.

If you have an HGV licence and drive a bus or lorry, your licence will be reviewed every 12 months.

(For the general population, driving licenses are valid until the age of 70, when they are then reviewed every three years).
