By Stella Cozens, living with PH
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
the way you did today…
I think of the many things,
we didn’t get to say.
When tomorrow starts without me,
and you feel so sad and alone
Each time you think of me,
Please don’t let out a moan.
When tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand…
that even though I am out of sight,
I am stood beside you on the ground
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t despair that I am not there
I will always walk beside you,
And I’ll often stroke your hair.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t waste time shedding a tear
You know that I am with you,
Just listen and you will hear
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t wake and cry out loud
You know I am standing close,
Not somewhere in the cloud
When tomorrow starts without me,
Remember what I said
That I would never leave you,
Even though I may be dead
When tomorrow starts without me,
Say good morning as you should
And I will try to let you know
That beside you I’ll be stood
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart…
For every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart.

I wrote this for my daughters in January 2026 in the Royal Brompton when my PH became severe. My kidneys failed with no hope so I thought it was my end. Thankfully they found a solution.
